Jeffery W. Laubach, PE

Jeff Laubach - Principal
Jeff is a professional engineer licensed in Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and Ohio.  He has over 15 years of experience with a wide range of civil design projects that include water mains, sanitary sewer mains, roadways, storm sewers, stormwater management for both quantity and quality, site development planning and design, and traffic control plans.  Jeff has experience working with municipalities around the KC Metro area and the City of Topeka, as well as working with smaller communities in Kansas and Missouri for public and private projects.

Jeff's principle duties include public and private civil design, project coordination, client coordination and overall management of the firm.



Brian T. Austin, PE
Project Manager, Engineering

Brian Austin - Principal
Brian has over 16 years of experience in transportation engineering and focuses primarily on municipal road reconstruction and maintenance projects.  Brian performed as the lead engineer or project manager on 12 roundabout projects, 9 traffic signal projects, 5 major traffic impact studies/corridor plans, 8 street maintenance projects, and 17 road reconstruction projects.  Brian has also been actively engaged in the construction management and construction administration of many of these projects. 

Brian is a Professional Engineer (PE) in Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, and California and is also a registered Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE).


Rick Schmidt, PS
Project Manager, Surveying

Rick Schmidt - Principal

Rick is a licensed land surveyor in the states of Kansas and Missouri and has over 38 years of experience in the area of site development and construction engineering. He has performed numerous ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys, boundary surveys, subdivision plats, flood elevation certificates and a variety of construction staking assignments from public infrastructure to private site development.

Rick's principle duties include site development coordination, survey coordination, project liaison, and overall operations of the firm.





Mark Boyd
Project Manager, Development

Mark Boyd - Principal

Mark has over 30 years experience ranging from property appraisal to land development. He has considerable experience and knowledge in working with local, state and federal agencies in an effort to ensure projects meet applicable regulations and administrative deadlines. Mark has served on several local boards, commissions and committees for the betterment of our community.  He holds a B.S. in Earth Science from University of Massachusetts at Boston.

His principle duties include conceptual planning, CADD deliverable drawings, and overall financial management of the firm.




Kevin W. Beck, PE, LEED AP
Project Consultant, Engineering

Kevin W. Beck - Consultant
Kevin is a professional engineer licensed in Kansas. He has been providing services for over 16 years  with projects that include intersection design, urban and rural roadway design, subdivision design, utilities design, site development, land planning, traffic studies, signal design and storm water analysis. He is a LEED accredited professional.

Kevin’s principle duties include project management, design consultant, client liaison and business development.
